Creative writings of all kinds are characterized by the employment of heritage, and this includes the novel as it appears with the novelist "Al-Taher Watar", especially in his novel "The Candle and The Dark Corridors", where it contained various patterns of folklore, as the folk proverb.

We will discuss the argumentative aspect of popular proverbs, based on the fact that argumentation is a linguistic theory in which language has an argumentative function, and therefore argument is present in all texts.

The argumentative relationship contains a large number of logical semantic relations, and therefore it can be found for any proverbial saying.

This is what we will apply in this poem by studying both linguistic and logical semantic structures.

The research revealed that popular proverbs contain strong arguments that give their users an authoritarian power that allows them to influence others and convince them.
