Computation is an old mathematical activity.

we cannot situate the period where it became to be known for the first time, because human been started dealing with it in a very old step of human history.

specialized studies mention that those Arabic computational activities owe much to the appearing of some mathematical activities that were known in old civilizations in : Mesopotamia, old Egyptian and Greek civilizations.

even more it is to be an extension of the content of texts related to these three civilizations.

in the first part of this study, we will deal with numeration systems used in Babylonian, Egyptian and Greek texts.

we also, review computational algorithms introduced in those texts.

we than, get to the Arabic calculation throw some works edited in the east and west Islamic regions, between 10th and 15th centuries.

we will mention some particularities of this calculation and will present the case of two calculating algorithms to show how this mathematical field was developed in the Arabic civilization
