this study aimed to get acquainted with the reality of applying Knowledge Management in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at King Abdulaziz University from the prospective of its academic leaders (Dean of the College and its Agents, and the College of Female Students and Heads and Supervisors of Scientific Departments).

To achieve the goals of the research, the researcher used the case study method, relying on the questionnaire tools.

The researcher, in this academic leadership, studied the cases of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities that have targeted both male and female students, who are (24) leaders, excluding that of the heads of academic committees in the college and heads of academic committees in departments and secretaries of the departments all together.

Among the academic leaders, which is the sample that was tested intentionally, the researcher has designed a defense questionnaire that is of three main axes as it relates to the applications of Knowledge Management directly in relation to these applications and their tools and ways to support them at the university level to serve the applications of Knowledge Management which are part of the University, and the study reached many results, the most important of which are: The university has special systems for transferring and sharing knowledge between employees (internal network, Internet) and on all criteria with an average arithmetic (4.29) and standard deviation (0.69).

The results also indicated that the Academic Leaders who participate in the current study are all agreeable.

One of the most important obstacles to applying Knowledge Management shows a lack of awareness of understanding the benefits of applying Knowledge Management with mean (4.00) and standard deviation (0.72).

The results also indicated that the academic leaders participating in the current study strongly agree that it is necessary to provide time for academic leaders to contribute to enriching knowledge with mean (4.63) and standard deviation (0.65).

The results also indicated that there are no differences related to statistical study between its members, the sample of academic leaders participating in the study about the reality of Knowledge Management applications, their obstacles and the proposals submitted to overcome these obstacles due to the differences in the academic degree, administrative position, and years of experience at the university, as well.

The most important tasks reached by the researcher are: A need for the college administration to provide opportunities for understanding, consultation, open criticism and exchange of views with members in order to develop Knowledge Management Processes for the college as a whole as to develop tools for storing, and sharing knowledge.

It is, necessarily, to give a consideration to the importance of having a knowledge repository to store knowledge to be used by current members and those whose services are terminated.

This recommended resorting to college arbitration to solve the problem of the absence of a culture of participation and exchange of knowledge among the college staff.

Finally, the study recommended that the university must guard to address poor coordination between university departments in the fields that could serve Knowledge Management applications, as it is time for academic leaders to contribute to knowledge enrichment though.
