تهتم هذه الدراسة بآخر عمل روائي الأمين معلوف بعنوان "إخواننا غير المتوقعين" 2020.
و لهذا اخترنا المقاربة الجيونقدية، لبراتراند واستفال، من اجل تحليل موضوع نهاية العالم من خلال التشكيك بين حدود الكون الحقيقي و الكون الوهمي.
سنتتبع مسار الشخصية البطلة "اليك"، القاطن الوحيد على جزيرة من الساحل الأطلسي، محجور في حيزه الخاص، لكن بقدوم حدث غريب و غير مفسر يجبر على الخروج من حجره و التأمل في انهيار العالم و الحضارات معا.
Abstract EN
This study focuses of the analysis of Amin Maalouf ’s latest novel, Nos Frères Inattendus (2020).
for this, Bertrand Westphal’s geocritical approach has been adopted in order to analyze the theme of the apocalypse, through questioning the borders real universe and fictitious one.
we will follow Alec’s journey, a character who is the only inhabitant of an islet of the Atlantic coast, confined to his island space.
but, the advent of a strange and inexplcable event forces him to come out of his confinement and meditate on the collapse of the world as well as of civilizations.

La présente étude s'intéresse à l'analyse du dernier roman d'Amin Maalouf, intitulé nos frères inattendus (2020).
pour cela, nous avons choisi l'approche géocritique de Bertrand Westphal afin d'analyser la thématique de l'apocalypse, en questionnant les frontières de l'univers réel et de l'univers fictif.
nous suivrons le parcours du personnage, Alec, seul habitant d'un îlot de la côte atlantique, confiné dans son espace îlien.
mais, l'avènement d'un événement étrange et inexplicable l'oblige à sortir de son confinement et à méditer sur l'effondrement du monde ainsi que des civilisations.
