The terminological definition of the term is a central component of the specialized dictionaries for its didactics and cognitive functions and it also contributes to enhancing the conceptual structure of science.

Within this framework, the subject of this study, namely the components of the definition of terminology in particular, was chosen through a sample of the specialized computer dictionary; also to see how well these components are involved in distinguishing the definition of the term from other definitions.
