Abstract EN

This study focuses on understanding the philosophical ideas embodied in the narrative discourse of the movie (Joker), also the theoretical and cognitive backgrounds that emerged in this artistic work, and how the philosophical thinking is presented, at the same time researching in the aesthetics of image that reflected in the visual level, the study falls within the qualitative research that tries to analyze the communicative phenomenon deeply according to the implicit and explicit symbols, depending on the semiological analysis.

The study results show that (Joker) movie is based on nihilism, pessimism philosophies toward the relationship between ego and the other, In the same context; the visual aesthetics of the film were manifested through the use of elements of the cinematic language such as fashion, colors, lighting and montage to deliver the concept of the aesthetics of ugliness, which has been expressed the narrative ironies of the tragedy.
