The prefabricated house industry in Basra governorate is considered as one of the important manufacturing industries in the governorate through its contribution to the economic process in the Basra community, by attracting labor and diversifying its products to meet the needs of the local market for the governorate, marketing to neighboring governorates, developing and improving production volume and quality, as well as achieving high profits and revenues.

therefore, the research aims to study the reality of the prefab industry and its geographical distribution in Basra governorate and its problems.
