Abstract EN

This study dealt with the case of an Algerian-young man who desires to immigrate illegally.

We focused our attention on one of his most important personality traits which is psychological alienation, as the study aimed to know the extent of his feeling of psychological alienation and to understand the impact of this feeling of alienation on his desire to illegally immigrate.

The clinical approach was adopted, using a set of appropriate tools for the study and the curriculum, such as observation, interview, case study and the scale of feeling psychological alienation by Shadi Abu Al-Saud.

The results of the research find a high degree of psychological alienation in the case of the study in its first part, and that the feeling of psychological alienation is not the main reason behind the desire for illegal immigration in its second part.
