Arabic Abstract

سوء التغذية شائع بين مرضى غسيل الكلى في جميع أنحاء العالم ، لأنه يرتبط بزيادة الأمراض و الوفيات.

قد تلعب التغذية السليمة دورا مهما في تحسين الحالة الغذائية و الحد من سوء التغذية و مضاعفات غسيل الكلى تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تقييم الحالة التغذوية لمرضى غسيل الكلى في مدينة الكرك و كذلك تحديد مدى انتشار سوء التغذية و المضاعفات الناتجة عن غسيل الكلى.

الأساليب و النتائج شارك في هذه الدراسة سبعة و تسعون مريضا (56) من الذكور و 41 من الإناث).

كان متوسط أعمارهم 52.72 ± 14.17 سنة.

تم جمع البيانات عن طريق الاستبيان و تم تحديد العوامل الديموغرافية و الاجتماعية الاقتصادية و الطبية للتذكر لمدة 24 ساعة، بالإضافة إلى الاختبارات البيوكيميائية مثل الألبومين و الكرياتينين و الكوليسترول و البوتاسيوم و مستويات الصوديوم في المصل كان لدى المرضى تناول منخفض للطاقة (%86.59)، و المرضى الذين تناولوا كمية منخفضة من البروتين (88.65%)، و المرضى الذين يعانون من نقص ألبومين الدم (68.04%)، و المرضى الذين يعانون من انخفاض الكرياتينين في الدم (47.42%) و المرضى الذين يعانون من انخفاض في المصل الكوليسترول (72.16).

علاوة على ذلك، كان 88.65% من المرضى يعانون من ارتفاع ضغط الدم و 37.11 ٪ من المرضى يعانون من مرض السكري.

بالإضافة إلى ذلك، كانت هناك زيادة في انتشار مضاعفات غسيل الكلى (فقر الدم% 93.81 ، و ارتفاع ضغط الدم 88.65% ، و فرط بوتاسيوم الدم 29.89%).

كشفت النتائج عن ارتفاع معدلات سوء التغذية و مضاعفات غسيل الكلى بين المرضى في مدينة الكرك.

لذلك، من الضروري إجراء تقييم مستمر للحالة الغذائية للمرضى لتحسين حالتهم الغذائية و نوعية حياتهم.

English Abstract

Malnutrition is common among dialysis patients worldwide, as it is associated with increased morbidity and mortality.

Proper nutrition may play an important role in improving nutritional status and reducing malnutrition and complications from dialysis.

This study aims to evaluate the nutrition status of dialysis patients in Karak city also to determine the prevalence of malnutrition and complications that resulting from dialysis.

Ninety-seven hemodialysis patients (56 males and 41 females) participated in this study; the mean of their ages was 52.72±14.17 years.

Data were collected by questionnaire and were determined the demographic, socioeconomic and medical history factors, for24 hours recall .In addition to biochemical tests like albumin, creatinine, cholesterol, potassium and sodium levels in serum, and others were determined Malnutrition was observed in patients by using more than one indicator, where patients had low energy intake (86.59%), patients who had low protein intake (88.65%), patients with hypoalbuminemia (68.04%), patients with low serum creatinine (47.42%) and patients with low serum cholesterol (72.16%).

Furthermore,88.65% of patients had hypertension and 37.11% of patients had diabetes mellitus.

In addition, there was an increase in the prevalence of hemodialysis complications (anemia 93.81%, hypertension 88.65%, and hyperkalemia 29.89%).

Conclusions: The results revealed high rates of malnutrition and complications of hemodialysis among patients in Karak city.

Therefore, it is necessary to continuously assess the nutritional status of patients to improve their nutritional status and quality of life.
