The concept of faith is very complex, and there are a lot of talk about it among the major Islamic groups such as the Kharijites, the Mu'tazila, the Jahmiyya and others, because of its great importance, and the worldly and eschatological effects it entails according to the elements of faith such as recognition, ratification and action.

the researcher chose one sect, which is the Ash'ari, which is a great Islamic group.

this researcher limited this research to defining the concept of faith in the Ash'ari, with an explanation of the rule of exception in faith, and the relationship between it and Islam, and whether it increases and decreases or not? and the ruling on major sins, the research also included talking about the definition of Ash'ari, its origin, ideas and beliefs, then stating the preponderant opinion on previous ideological issues after discussing and analyzing them, as well as arriving at the most prominent results of the research.
