This study aims to research the hierarchical composition of the maritime institution in the Ayyubid era (570-652 AH / 1174-1254 AD), in terms of the categorical arrangement of the hierarchical positions in that institution, as well as addressing everything related to the elements that made up the navy in the Ayyubid state since the establishment and even its fall, and to highlight the impact of those positions and ethnic elements on the strength and weakness of the Ayyubid navy during its development stages, as well as to objectively stand on the names of the most important marine translations that had a clear imprint in achieving the Ayyubid naval victories against the crusaders, whether in the coasts of Egypt or the Syria.
