Abstract EN

This research presents a critical reading of the poetry of Mansour al-Nimri (d.

190 AH), the Abbasid poet.

It examines the superficial and implicit and deep elements, revealing the confusion that has long occurred in the scholars' lack of understanding of his poetry.

In the context of the political dimension of praise, which constituted the most important topics of his poetry, and out of the political struggle, we decided to enter into political praise, which appeared to be a mirror image of the fluctuations of his private and public life, his thoughts, beliefs and personal convictions.

For this reason, the purpose of political praise was the most ambiguous focus among several trends that affected his poetry, as it occupies an important position in the poetry of Mansour al-Nimri (d.

190 AH).

This importance comes from the connection of his poetry with the political conflict between the Abbasids and the Alawites.

It is also relevant to show the cultural patterns within the framework of the dimension political praise, which formed the most important themes of his poetry.
