Southern Lebanon has a special historical, political and religious status, as it was known for its Shi'ism and its loyalty to the Ahl al-Bayt since it entered Islam after the battle of Yarmouk, and this was reflected in the resistance literature since that period until today, and it was characterized by literary characteristics that are unique to it such as the qur'anic intertextuality and the poetic image inspired by Ashura al-Hussein, which required the use of the appropriate descriptive analytical approach to demonstrate the historical, political and religious status of southern Lebanon, to learn about the lives of the poets of the national resistance and the Islamic resistance, to study poetic models and to clarify the most important characteristics of their poetry, and to analyze the prose texts from novels, short stories, and sermons, and to include a new prose art of content known as (the testaments of martyrs)..

the literature of the Islamic resistance originated in Jabal Amel from the time of its people's spread, and was not a product of the modern era.

moreover, this literature possesses elements and features that enable it to establish a literary school known as (school of Islamic resistance literature).
