Abstract EN

Infinitive is a word referring to doing something or expressing a state-without referring to a person and sometimes a specific time, such as (Ghatl : قتل), (Amal : عمل) and so on.

in other words, the infinitive replaces one of its derivatives or replaces one of its conjugate infinitives and expands the shades of meanings in that word.

it is obvious that this virtual use of the infinitive, in addition to observing and preserving the music of the word, enriches the meaning.

it is worth mentioning that Arabic has an appropriate ability in the domain of substitute infinitive of its conjugate form.

this manifestation and art is shown in a fine and wonderful way in the Qur’an, because with ordinary structures, a deep meaning cannot be clearly expressed.

it is important to highlight that infinitive is closely related to understanding the meanings of Quranic verses.

therefore, the commentators have researched and analyzed its various meanings and miraculous implications in the qur'anic verses.

this study, which is descriptive analytical, aims to analyze and examine the substitution of an infinitive instead of its conjugates in the Qur’an.

this research shows that the reader in the light of the context of the word-which has gathered verbal or spiritual evidence-can recognize the infinitive as the substitute of its cognate.

it also shows that motives such as expressing two transitive and intransitive meanings at the same time, expanding the shades of meanings and, observing the distances of qur'anic verses have paved the way for the substitution of an infinitive instead of its conjugate form in the Qur’an.

it also shows that creating exaggeration and accuracy in description is one of the important implications of substituting an infinitive instead of its regular form in the Qur’an.
