Teaching intentionality from the perspective of pragmatics has had a huge impact.

in accordance, the early Arab scholars and recent ones have developed great interest in intentionality and the role of situation in affirming the impact of intentionality and its origins.

therefore, this brief study aims at casting light on the concept of intentionality from a pragmatic perspective.

to meet this purpose, the study is presented in five sections.

the first section provides an overview for the study.

the second section introduces the concept of intentionality according to the linguistic and terminological level.

the third section investigates what is meant by pragmatics linguistically.

the fourth section presents an argument regarding the study of intentionality from a pragmatic perspective.

the fifth section offers a review for the conclusions established in this study.
