Media tend to employ certain political and cultural models to circulate news and cover different events.

this behavioral model exhibited by journalists has been dubbed framing in social and communication sciences.

informed by the ideology that dominates the media, these frames determine what news packages become available to the public.

Saudi Arabian's daily paper, Okaz, is thus no exception and follows its own specific models in covering the news.

in particular, these frames have become fiercer in covering the news of the IRI and representative cases such as lieutenant general Qasem Suleimani, IRGC's Quds corps and translating the related news and showcase the political hostility between Tehran and Riyadh.

in some cases, they exceed the bounds of journalism and news profession and amount to direct insult.

this research attempts to study based on descriptive-analytical approach the implementation of particular frames by Saudi Arabia's Okaz journalists in covering the news of Islamic repoblic of Iran (the case study of assassination of general Suleimani in Iraq).

the findings revealed that as is the case with other audio, video and written media, Okaz followed certain frames and clearly replicated the hostility that exists between Iran and Saudi Arabia in its news coverage.
