Abstract EN

The rise of Islam marked the beginning of significant changes in the rights and status of women ; Islam denounced ignorant habits and traditions as well as inhumane treatment against women, changed the standard of values in society, proved the equality of men and women in the human essence, and identified the human identity of women to everyone.

in the era of the prophet (PBUH), women were actively present in various social arenas.

they enjoyed high self-esteem, intellectual independence, freedom and the right to vote.

they were present alongside men during wars and sacrificed their lives to defend Islam.

they had the right to vote, comment and participate freely in political, social, cultural and economic issues.

as a result, the conditions were provided for women to become a valuable and roleplaying element.

the role of the wives of the prophet (PBUH), as one of the important pillars of Islamic society, in the evolution and development of Islamic jurisprudence is of high significance ; this includes the evolution and development of Islamic jurisprudence through narrating, spreading and interpreting verses and hadiths, answering jurisprudential questions, explaining and interpreting women’s jurisprudence, issuing fatwas on emerging issues, educating students in the Islamic school, enjoining the good and forbidding wrong, and encouraging parents to educate their children correctly based on the teachings and manners of the prophet (PBUH).

relying on first-class sources and applying a descriptive-analytical method, the present study aims at addressing this issue.
