The Kufa Mosque is one of the oldest mosques sacred to the Imami Shiites, and the most important of them is ; due to the attraction of scholars and seekers of knowledge, in the past and present, and the narrations indicate that the first person to lay the foundation stone for the mosque and build it on a large area was the Prophet of God Adam (Peace Be Upon Him), then the Prophet Noah (Peace Be Upon Him) rebuilt it after the flood, as the Muslims did in the year 17 ah at their first presence in Kufa, the mosque was built and its architecture was built, and Kufa flourished when Imam Ali (Peace Be Upon Him) transferred the caliphate to it and with him a large number of righteous companions, after his victory in the battle of the camel in the year 36 ah, and seventy companions who witnessed Badr lived in it, as he lived in it (Ammar bin Yasir, Abdullah bin Masoud, and others) is one of the venerable companions, as well as many scholars that are difficult to count.

from here emerged the missionary and cultural role of imam al-Sadiq, (peace be upon him), and in his time he showed specialization in the Qur'an, Arabic language literature, beliefs, philosophy, chemistry, medicine and other sciences that were taught in the courses of imam al-Sadiq's lesson in the Kufa mosque.

correct dealing, great morals and a wise way of dealing with scholars are what made thousands of students of knowledge at the time rally around the imam, and they traveled great distances to reach the source of true knowledge, and this matter led to the prosperity of study circles in the Kufa mosque, and the spread of all Islamic sciences.
