English Abstract

The study aimed to identify the level of social, economic and psychological effects of violence from the point of view of workers in the Department of Family Protection.

Battered women, as well as to identify differences in the level of responses of the research sample towards patterns of violence against battered women.

In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a descriptive and analytical approach was adopted (115) Worker and worker، The sample methodology was used in selecting the sample and the questionnaire was used as the main tool for data collection.

Relying on SPSS v.20 for data analysis.

The results of the study showed that the general level of social, economic and psychological effects on the abused women according to the estimates of the study sample came at a high level, and the level of economic effects ranked first followed by the level of psychological effects and then the level of social effects.

It came in a medium level, and the pattern of psychological violence ranked first followed by the pattern of economic violence and then the pattern of social violence, and in fourth place the pattern of verbal violence, and finally came the pattern of physical violence.

The results also showed that there was no statistically significant difference between the average of the study sample responses towards the socio-economic and psychological effects of the abused women according to demographic and functional characteristics.

Based on its findings, the study recommended a set of recommendations, the most important of which was to encourage women against whom violence is practiced in its various forms to report to the competent authorities in order to provide legal aid and social support.
