Abstract EN

Livestock is one of the most important sectors of economic resources that can play a major role in the development of the economy as it is well exploited and overcome the constraints of production.

the study aimed to identify the most important constraints of the livestock sector in the study area, and try to provide suggestions and solutions to overcome them the study followed the following methods: historical, descriptive, and statistical analysis, and used both interview and observation as tools for the study.

the size of sample (150).

the data were analyzed by the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) program.

the study concluded that the pastoralists have a role in the pressure on the pastures in the study area, the lack of water resources in the pastoral areas led to the concentration of pastoralists in specific points, the move and search for pastures and pastures lead to twice the amount of production, natural pastures low production of feed as a result of poor exploitation and management, increased pastoral load and early and overgrazing in the region, lack of plans for development and dominance of traditional systems in production, lack of utilization of agricultural residues for animal feeding.

the study also recommends the following: develop plans in the field of pastoral activity in the study area, provide water sources in some pastoral areas, not to load pastures over capacity, and not to move and search for pastures by providing them in various parts of the local.
