Abstract EN

This study deals with the challenges that Algeria faced following the transformation of its strategic environment, after the intervention of NATO in Libya and the fall of the Muammar Gaddafi regime, which caused the collapse of the state and the outbreak of a civil war whose negative effects extended to all its geographical surroundings.

Algeria was one of the most affected by this new situation and had to deal with it, by virtue of its geographical location and its international responsibility.

The method of understanding Algeria’s approach to dealing with this reality included an examination of the nature of the Libyan conflict, And the extent to which the trends of the Algerian foreign political and security doctrine are compatible with the requirements of interests, and its implications for the way of dealing with the conflict, and an explanation of the impact of the political, economic and social reality that Algeria was going through during this period on the effectiveness of its dealing with the Libyan case in general
