Cancer du visage et image du corps

Le but de cette recherche est d'évaluer l'image corporelle de deux patients atteints de cancer du visage et de décrire leurs souffrances physiques, psychiques et sociales en évoquant les facteurs qui favorisent l'apparition du syndrome de l'image du corps.

Deux outils d'investigation ont été utilisés: l'entretien clinique de recherche et le test du Rorschach.

Les résultats obtenus vont dans le sens d'une altération du vécu corporel avec pour les patients le sentiment de perdre le contrôle et d'être trahi par leur propre corps.

The aim of this research is to evaluate the body image of two patients with facial cancer and to describe their physical, psychological and social suffering by evoking the factors that favour the appearance of the body image syndrome.

Two investigative tools were used: the clinical research interview and the Rorschach test.

The results obtained point to an alteration of the body experience, with patients feeling that they have lost control and are betrayed by their own body.
