The Algerian legislator srove to find an effective legal system for the protection of witnesses, whistleblowers and victims, because this group was subjected to enticement and intimidation in order for them to deviate from telling the truth, so it was necessary for the legislator to provide them with the necessary legal protection in order to ensure cooperation with the judiciary, through: Providing objective protection in light of The Penal Code, the Law on Prevention and Combating Corruption, and Procedural Protection through the issuance of Order 15-02 amending and supplementing the Code of Criminal Procedure, which added Chapter Six to Part Two of Book One under the title “Protection of Witnesses, Experts and Victims, ” which approved the protection of witnesses from attacks and threats that They may be exposed to it in order to encourage them to testify.
