The success of academic institutions depends on the quality of education.

educationalists, policy makers, scholars, and researchers are showing their sincere interest towards the total quality management as it is recognized as an effective management philosophy for continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and organizational excellence.

in this connection, the article aims to identify the total quality management in education.

in the first part of the article we have presented definition of the total quality management.

the second parts of article presents total quality management can be implemented by putting into practice suitable TQM methods.

and in the third parts of article we have presented the importance of total quality management in education.

finnaly, application of total quality management in education will give better results in all fields of the process of education as a good technique of management used.
