This study came as an attempt to raise the topic of the researcher's digital identity and its construction mechanisms in the digital space focusing on its importance as a way to promote and value the scientific contents at a time when it is necessary for the researcher to have a digital fingerprint that reflects his scientific activities in a number of digital spaces confined by the Google search engine and to determine the nature of the identity of the Algerian researcher on the one hand, and on their effectiveness and activity on the other hand.

this study was divided into a theoretical part deals with the concept of digital identity and an practicl part in which the identity of the researchers of the research center on scientific and technical information was measured where was found that this identity is active on Google Scholar, Research Gate and ORCID and it is not active on Twitter.
