God Almighty made the Arabic language the vessel of his revelation revealed to the seal of his messengers, Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, the Noble Qur'an - the seal of the divine books - came in progress on the tongue of the Araccording to their methods of speech and their art of rhetoric, assuming the highest heights and assuming the supreme position and the great goal beyond which there is no goal, then came the language of divine revelation - the Arabic language - characterized by depth and richness, and unique in the linguistic miracles and its laws.

The explainers - including Ibn al-Jawzi, may God have mercy on him - understood the characteristics of this unique Qur'anic language, and then proceeded to discuss these features and characteristics, Ibn al-Jawzi's research on his interpretation of “Zad al-Masir” of issues of the Arabic language and its sciences came as a distinguished research with its own approach, through his employment of grammar to clarify the meanings of the verses and direct the readings, he also employed the sciences: rhetoric, derivation, inflection, borrowing, strange and other sciences necessary and important in confronting the interpretation of the Book of God Almighty.

These lines, then, aim to trace the linguistic contributions of Ibn al-Jawzi in the field of interpretation in particular, and explaining the effect of linguistic exegesis he has in the study of Arabic language and its sciences on the interpretation of the Noble Qur'an in general.
