Abstract EN

This research aims at studying the ability of auditory and visual distinction as well as semantic processing of both heard and written word for primary school students, moreover, it shows the importance of the safety of these operations in a sample of first and second year primary students in central and western schools of Algiers, the researcher used Assia Boumaraf’s tests of visual and auditory distinction and semantic processing which were applied on a group of (30) students from the first to the fifth year, the studies resulted in the following: there is no difference in the students results according to stages in the ability of auditory and visual distinction as well as semantic word processing, the results of the students in all levels were too close in the previous tasks.
