The call to reconsider the history of science in general and the history of Arab science in particular, as it constitutes a fundamental stage in the history of science in general, seems today more than an urgent necessity, in order to form an objective perception about the history of science.

this article aims to clarify two important issues: the first issue is Rushdi Rashid’s attempt to rewrite the history of Arab science from an epistemological angle.

in order to reposition the history of Arab science within the general history of science.

the second issue is Rushdie Rashid’s response to the orientalists who consider that Arab science is just a copy of Greek science.
