Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the role of special drawing rights in enhancing foreign exchange liquidity for Arab countries, in addition to familiarity with the various theoretical aspects related to both special drawing rights and international liquidity.

The descriptive method was used in this study to gain familiarity with the various concepts related to the subject of the study and the analytical method in order to analyze tables, figures and statistics.

This study concluded that the special drawing rights market contributes mainly to the support of international liquidity, but the share of Arab countries in this market remains modest and depends on the extent of the development of their economies.
