Abstract EN

This study aims to identify Dibba’s apostasy through the early related narratives, and to trace the origins of these narratives, the factors affecting them, their authors’ tribal and partisan trends, as well as the effects of those trends on the narratives’ accuracy.

although there are some relevant studies, they did not try to examine all the early narratives of Dibba’s apostasy, bearing in mind that this apostasy is still a phenomenon that arouses the researchers’ interest in studying it and revealing its causes and motives.

the study concluded that there are three directions in the early narratives about Dibba apostasy : an apologetic stance, a hostile stance, and a neutral stance attempting to narrate the incident in the closest way to its real occurrence.

the study, therefore, dealt with Dibba’s Islam, the reasons for apostasy, and the most important narratives about that apostasy, in addition to criticizing these narratives, investigating them, and drawing from them the most important conclusions.
