Abstract EN

Documents are prominent historical sources used extensively by the historian Sultan al-Qasimi in most of his works.

by analyzing selected examples of his writings in which he relied almost entirely on documents, the current study seeks answers for the following questions : how did the historian Sultan al-Qasimi use historical documents in his publications? Did he apply the historical-critical method on the documents he had used in his works? What was the goal that he sought to achieve from their use? What were the most prominent difficulties he encountered? these questions are answered by drawing on selected examples and using an inferential research method to identify and characterize the links and relationships between archival sources and the historical works of the historian Sultan al-Qasimi.

additionally, their compatibility and consistency with the general framework of the mobility of historical subjects that he studied and researched is considered.
