Abstract EN

The study aimed to find out the level of children's awareness of the quality of family life, and also the extent to which there are statistically significant differences between males and females in their perception of the quality of family life and family security among a sample of adolescent children in Laghouat -Algeria-.

And to what extent the level of perception of the quality of family life differs among the sample members according to the social and economic level of the family, and the data were collected in a random manner using two questionnaires, namely, the scale of the quality of family life (Amani Abdel-Maqsoud Abdel-Wahhab and Samira Muhammad Shad), and the family security scale (Fahd bin Ali Al Tayyar).

These two scales were applied to a sample of adolescent sons in Laghouat.

The study found: - There is a correlation between family quality of life and family security, in both males and females.

- Females are more aware of the quality of family life and more distinguished on the scale of family security.
