Spousal abuse is considered one of the most dangerous social phenomenon against women, which is a form of violence and practices that affect the physical and psychological safety and lead to the instability in societies, this phenomenon becomes the most common and widespread in both developed and developing countries, despite the significant efforts made to eradicate or minimize it.

The international textes condemned the spousal abuse against women in its various forms, physical, psychological and sexual.

Members states have called to take concrete and serious measures to fight that domestic violence by putting severe penalties against the violation of the women's rights.
