The concept of bureaucracy emerged at least two centuries ago in Europe.

It had been dealt with by many philosophers, the most famous of which is Hegel.

But, it didn't gain popularity until Max Weber became bias towards him as a method of management unparalleled in human history.

He saw that it was inspired by the merge of protestant ethics and the spirit of capitalism.

Nevertheless, as time went by, along with the maturity of organizational thought, scholars discovered its deficiency and diagnosed its illness.

Despite the great number of critics, bureaucracy still dominates most organizations in the world, thus, it deserves to be one of the most important phenomena that sociology had dealt with for quite a long time.
