since the end of the 5th century AH / 11 AD, its campaigns had begun to fade in the Islamic world, especially in the Levant.

the Islamic forces at that time were divided between the weak Abbasid caliphate, which relied on the power of the pro-Abbasid Seljuks, and the other power was the Fatimid state, from the Ismaili Shiit school of jurisprudence, which at the time controlled Egypt and the Levant.

at a time when the Seljuks repelled the crusades from their beginnings, despite the weakness of their state, the position of the Fatimid state was different from that, as their help to the Muslims was absent, and defending the Islamic emirates was absent despite the power they possessed.
