The goal of reforming hearts according to Ibn Taymiyyah this article gains its importance from the importance of the two pillars of its title, which are: the purpose of reforming hearts on the one hand, and Ibn Taymiyyah on the other hand.

It raises this basic problem : what shows that the reform of hearts is a legitimate objective ? and what are the means to achieve it ? the most important thing it aims at by answering this problem is to clarify the status of reforming hearts, and Ibn Taymiyyah's role in highlighting it as a legitimate aim that takes precedence over others, and it mentions the most important means that achieve this purpose from the side of existence by doing commands whose origins are : monotheism, obedience, and knowledge, and from the side of nothingness by forbidding Shirk, sin, and ignorance.
