The seventies in Algeria represents the starting point of poetic modernity with its blatant face, and it is the first stage of a true collision with the constants and sober Arab heritage, it was a literary arena raging in its struggle, diverse in experimenting with modernist writing forms.

most of the young poets reached the point of extremism in drawing inspiration from the techniques of the West and the East from intertextuality, ambiguity, symbols, and masks, others became a mouthpiece for ideology, and recycled discursive and deterministic tendencies that refused to go extinct, these poets could only a little out of the modern shade of oriental poetry that cast a shadow on the Algerian poetic scene, and its results were nothing but more imitation and superficiality.
