Over the ages, the production and manufacture of amphoras have been subject to several factors, including social, cultural and artistic, in addition to economic factors, as they are functional vessels made for the purpose of meeting the requirements of the food industry that carry them., the more this leads to the manufacture of greater numbers of amphoras to cover the need of traders and consumers together to keep pace with production, so we find many of them next to the industrial areas.

in addition to the industrial and technical aspect, these amphorae bear several artistic characteristics inspired by the social and cultural milieu of the maker, despite the scarcity of decorations in them, but they appear through parts of the amphora’s body such as: the edge, the neck, the handles and the foot, these parts in which the artistic and creative sense of the maker is manifested.
