Learning and mastering archery is one of the equestrian principles of the tribes, tribal nature plays a role in the spread of archery as well as jihad, tribes were keen to teach equestrian to their sons, thus master the use of sword and shooting on the mare or a foot, however, it was not limited to being linked solely to jihad; it was a kind of entertainment, archery was associated with hunting, especially catching lions, and sometimes became a kind of entertainment in occasions and ceremonies, thus, the archery is a two-sided sport that has been used in warfare and also used in amusement.

from this point of view, we pose the following problem : did the geographical nature and life, as well as the nature of the time, play a role in the diffusion of sport shooting ? was learning archery reserved for a certain section of society ? did the archer squad differ in the Magrebian army from one era to another ? are there certain cities famous for shooting sports ?.
