The issue of rights and freedoms is very important, given its connection to the concept of the rule of law, the latter being embodied in the event that it protects rights and freedoms.

In Algeria, importance was also attached to the issue of rights and freedoms from its first constitution (the constitution of 1963) until the constitutional amendment of the year 2020 in effect, which came as a result of the assumption of Mr.

Abdel Majid Tebboune as the presidency of Algeria, who pledged to build a new Algeria based on the principle of social justice and Respecting human rights, and thus building a state of truth and law.

Therefore, this study aims to know the impact of the constitutional amendment issued on December 30, 2020 on rights and freedoms in Algeria, and to answer the problem of the extent of its contribution to enriching rights and freedoms.
