Abstract EN

This paper aims to address the right to retract from the contract on the basis that it is one of the most important and prominent guarantees that are granted to the electronic consumer authorized by legislations, including the Algerian legislator.

The importance and the value of the issue increase considering that the right to retract is complementary to the consumer's right to be informed, and this may broadly affect his orientation, and it may undoubtedly get him in a fallacy that harms his interests and may affect his privacy as well.

Accordingly; the study requires that the content of the right to retract be addressed, beginning with its definition, passing through its characteristics, distinguishing it from other similar systems, as well as the controls on its exercising represented in the legal period, and emphasizing its effects.
