This study aimed to know the extent of employment and impact of webometrics indicators on improving the ranking of Algerian universities, through analyzing the results of the ranking of the top ten universities locally for the January 2021 edition, and the study found the need to adapt and invest more in webometrics indicators to improve their ranking, by creating backlinks in order to be more visible to its websites, increase scientific production in the largest global databases and create sound accounts for researchers in the google scholar platform.
