Sarcasm is an ancient art, since it is linked with man existence.

and with increasing necessity to express a variety of needs, it has become a space for venting the souls burdened by life’s worries, and a resting place for the afflicted, and the crushed under the wheel of bad time.

although the types of sarcasm differed from one era to another according to time, place, and circumstances, it is proven that it has been distributed among the various arts of literature, particularly in theater where it was more evident because of its connection with the realistic proposal and it gives a space for free expression that is absent in other arts.

on this basis, we had undergone a study to Saad Allah Ouanous’s play "al-Fil Ya Malika Ezzaman".

what extent is sarcasm manifested to in the play through the following elements: language, title, and setting?
