The west has been dealing since its inception on the basis of its eternal superiority over the Arab and Islamic east.

the myth of superiority arose since the times of the first renaissance, reinforced by orientalists, travelers and anthropologists, who spread in the east since the middle ages, and began to study Arab sciences, literature, customs and traditions, in order to control them later.

Orientals were represented in the novels of Amin Maalouf inferiorly, not deviating from the framework of the clichés that frequently recur in the archives of western orientalism.

in this study, we try to study the phobic images that represented the Orientals, and the reasons for prejudice against them.
