The importance of consensus among political forces is that consensus is what prepares everyone to try to understand the other and the crises that stand in the way of achieving the desired democratic transformation, without falling into confrontations that impede the path of the latter.

this article seeks to highlight the close link between the democratic transition process and the importance of political consensus and its necessity for the success of this process, especially in its critical stage, which is full of confusion and power vacuum.

at the end of this article, the following was reached: the political alliances between the various political parties in Tunisia had a great impact in supporting the democratic transition, which is confirmed by the various political alliances that took place in Tunisia.

these alliances, in addition to the national dialogue, were a catalyst for developing strategies for political consensus, through the development of a road map agreed upon by all actors.
