Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the most important preventive measures devoted by the Algerian legislator within the legal system of forests, to protect forest property from fires, and to study the extent of their effectiveness and efficacy in addressing this catastrophe that has worsened greatly in the last years of this millennium, and caused many dangers to society and the environment.

the study concluded that Algeria has recently shown great interest in protecting forest property, by activating proactive and protective mechanisms to avoid fires, despite all the efforts it has made, the reality still reveals the weakness of the legal system of forests in the face of fires, which are still devouring thousands of hectares of forest wealth.
