The development of Algerian border areas is a sensitive and vital point for ensuring stability and security, given the many threats and risks.

in addition to its marginalization and the failure of the government to develop the requirements of the inhabitants of these areas, which has led them to engage in many illegal free activities, it has also been compounded by the fact that these areas are themselves vulnerable to lack of development and increased unemployment, and by isolation in these areas, which has made them more polarized for illegal work.

in this context, the Algerian state is trying to find ways out of these areas and to integrate them with a number of strategies, including the development and security strategy aimed at linking them to other border areas.

in this paper, we will try to define the role of development in reducing security threats, and to decouple these areas.
