This paper discusses the integrative relationship between area studies and regional studies with specific reference to middle east, it focus first on the exist difference between the two concepts of area and region, giving the very importance of regionalization.

such a process was driven by the unique characteristics of each area or region.

this partition of the world into areas or regions will be discussed within the framework of its relation to the regional studies and international relations field.

the paper will discuss the interaction' dimension in the regional typology of the middle east area.

then in more specialized approach, the matter will be discussed from the perspective of security analyze of its owners, since the middle east is a place where an autonomous regional level of security has operated strongly for several decades.
