Abstract EN

This article focuses on the problem of a achieving democratic transition, in Algeria and Morocco, through the constitutional approach, in the midst of societal threats that destabilize the ruling political system.

the study aims to understand the nature of the constitutional solution, especially what is related to the engineering of this transformation, if any, in the direction that achieves the demand for democratization relying on a set of approaches, to study this problem, by reviewing the concept of democratic transformation, then the nature of the two political systems in the two countries, and finally, we detailed the content of the constitutional amendment 2011 and 2020.

we have recorded that the constitutional amendment was linked to a crisis of legitimacy, which made it a reaction aimed at calming the situation.
