Abstract EN

We aim through this study to clarify the critical vision of some narrative critics about the significance of the place in the short story, including the short story critics in Algeria, where there are many terms denoting the place and opinions differed about that between the term space, space and place, so we tried to clarify the most important differences between these terms.

And because the place is a cornerstone of the short story and one of the important pillars in the narrative construction, it is one of the most important monetary terms that have been known by many studies, and it has occupied an essential center in the circles of criticism.

Terms denoting it, which we have worked to highlight and clarify through this study.
